snEco dried cheese — crispy cheese made from 100% natural cheese

One ingredient — cheese. No oil, frying, flour or preservatives. The cheese is dried in a vacuum at 36–38 °C using our own patented technology, and it becomes crunchy like crisps, but with the protein of cheese: 31–60 g per 100 g. Keeps without a fridge. 9 flavours, 4 formats, DPD delivery to your country.

What dried cheese is and how it differs from “cheese snacks”

snEco dried cheese is ordinary hard cheese (Gouda, Cheddar, mozzarella, Sulguni, Emmental) with the water removed. In a vacuum, water boils at a low temperature, so the cheese isn’t fried and isn’t heated above 36–38 °C: the protein, calcium and the cheese’s own flavour stay, while each piece “puffs up” from the inside and becomes porous and crunchy. That is how you get cheese bites and sticks that don’t melt, don’t go soft in your hands and don’t need a knife.

It is fundamentally different from most “cheese snacks” on the shelf. Corn puffs or crisps “with cheese flavour” are starch, oil and flavouring. Cheese braids and smoked sticks are a moist product that lasts only a few weeks in the fridge. snEco dried cheese consists of cheese alone, keeps on an ordinary shelf for 18 months (14 and 28 g packs) and provides 12–17 g of protein per 28 g pack.

1 ingredient

Cheese made from pasteurised cow’s milk, salt, starter culture and enzyme. No oil, sugar, colourings, preservatives or gluten-containing ingredients.

VacWave technology

Our own patented microwave-vacuum drying, Ukrainian patent No. 139035. Process temperature 36–38 °C.

Recognition

SIAL INNOVATIONS 2024 in Paris. FSSC 22000, ISO 22000, HACCP certificates.

How much protein and how many calories are in dried cheese

Since the water has been removed from the cheese, all nutrients are concentrated. About 70 g of cheese goes into 28 g of snack, so a pack contains as much protein as two eggs: from 12 g in Cheddar to 17 g in SUPERFOOD. Carbohydrates are 1–4 g per 100 g, i.e. less than half a gram per pack: an honest keto and low-carb snack. Energy value is 480–690 kcal per 100 g, or 135–195 kcal per 28 g pack — comparable to a handful of nuts or a protein bar. Detailed figures are on every product page and in the articles about protein in dried cheese and keto snacks.

What people use dried cheese for

With beer and wine

Doesn’t melt, doesn’t leave your hands greasy, stays crunchy on the table for several hours. Smoked Sulguni with dark beer, Cheddar with IPA, Gouda with lager.

Protein snack

12–17 g of protein per pack with no syrups or thickeners. After a workout, at work, instead of a bar.

kids at school

No sugar or colourings, with calcium. Mozzarella and Gouda in 14 g mini packs, the kids’ “Cosmic” in a 28 g pack.

For travel and hiking

Light, doesn’t spoil without a fridge, needs no dishes. A 28 g pack weighs less than an apple.

As a gift

Sets of 5–20 packs: for a colleague, a husband, to go with a beer gift set, or as an edible souvenir from Ukraine.

Wholesale and for venues

500 g packs for bars and kitchens, show boxes for checkouts, private label. 25+ retail chains already sell snEco.

how to store dried cheese

An unopened pack doesn’t need a fridge: store it in a dry place at room temperature. 14 and 28 g packs keep for 18 months, nut mixes and 500 g packs for 8 months, olives for 12. Once opened, the cheese draws moisture from the air, so an open pack is best eaten within a day or two or transferred to an airtight container. More details in the article how to store dried cheese.

Where to buy snEco dried cheese

The easiest way is right here on the website: the full range, sets and boxes, DPD delivery to your country in 2–7 days, dispatch the same or next business day. In Ukraine, single packs are also on the shelves of retail chains — for example, Silpo, NOVUS, VARUS, WOG, OKKO, Auchan, EKO Market. For shops, bars and distributors there are separate partnership terms.

Questions about dried cheese

What is dried cheese?
It is hard cheese from which the water has been removed in a vacuum at 36–38 °C. It becomes crunchy and porous but remains cheese: the only ingredient is cheese, with 31–60 g of protein per 100 g. It is not a “cheese-flavoured product” and not freeze-dried liquid cheese mass — it is cheese itself, just dry.
How is dried cheese different from freeze-dried cheese?
Freeze-drying means freezing and removing the ice in a vacuum; that is how berries and ready meals for hiking are made. snEco dries cheese by the microwave-vacuum method at 36–38 °C without freezing, so the texture comes out crunchy and puffed, like crisps, and the cheese flavour is concentrated. In everyday speech both words are used as synonyms — people searching for “freeze-dried cheese” most often mean exactly this kind of crunchy cheese.
How much does dried cheese cost?
A 28 g pack costs ≈ €3.10–3.30, a 14 g mini pack ≈ €2–2.50, a 20 g nut mix ≈ €2, a 500 g pack ≈ €33–61 depending on the flavour, sets from ≈ €9.30. The cheapest per gram is the 500 g pack (about €6.70–7.30 per 100 g). Current prices are on the product pages.
Does it need a fridge?
No. An unopened pack keeps at room temperature: 18 months for 14 and 28 g packs, 8 months for nut mixes and 500 g packs, 12 for olives. An open pack is best eaten within a day or two or sealed tightly — the cheese draws moisture from the air.
How much cheese is in one pack?
About 70 g of cheese goes into 28 g of dried snack: the moisture leaves, the dry matter stays. That is why a pack contains as much protein as two eggs.
Does dried cheese contain lactose or gluten?
There are no gluten-containing ingredients: the only ingredient is cheese, with no flour or breading. Lactose is present in trace amounts, as in any hard cheese: aged cheeses (cheddar, Primaggio) naturally contain the least. If you are intolerant, go by how you tolerate the corresponding cheese in its regular form.
Where can I buy snEco dried cheese?
On this website with DPD delivery to your country in 2–7 days (dispatch the same or next business day), and in Ukraine also in retail chains — for example, Silpo, NOVUS, VARUS, WOG, OKKO, Auchan. For shops and venues there are wholesale terms on the partnership page.
Is dried cheese healthy?
It is the same cheese: milk protein, calcium, cheese fat, with no added sugar or oil. A 28 g pack has 12–17 g of protein and 135–195 kcal. Like any cheese, it is a salty and calorie-dense product, so it is an honest snack, not “light food”: one or two packs a day is a sensible portion.
